ELKHART- John A. "Jack" Pease, 73, of Elkhart, died at 9 p.m. Oct. 5, 2010, in his residence, following a year-long battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 31, 1936, in Syracuse, to Jacob and Grace Wineland Pease. On Jan. 29, 1960, in Goshen, he married Judy M. Lingofelter, who survives.
He was a welder at Gleason Industries, Goshen, for 28 years. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses South Kingdom Hall.
Also surviving are a son, Terry (and spouse Brenda) Pease, Elkhart; two daughters, Corinna (and spouse David) Guerrero and Rebecca Pease, all of Elkhart; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers: Thomas (and spouse Shirley) Pease, Milford; Bill Pease, South Carolina; and Bob (and spouse Lettie) Pease, Massachusetts; and two sisters, Maxine (and spouse Bruce Jr.) Rogers, Milford, and Geraldine Gooch, Goshen. He was preceded in death by five sisters.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at South Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 25448 C.R. 22, Elkhart, IN. Cremation will take place.
Elkhart Cremation services is in charge of arrangements.
