BOURBON – Joel Frederick Stetzel, 25, of Bourbon, died at 5:51 a.m. Feb. 11, 2012, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Fir Road in Marshall County.
He was born Dec. 23, 1986, in Huntington, to Robert and Deborah Thompson Stetzel.
A resident of the Etna Green area since 1994, he was a graduate of Triton High School in 2005 and attended Ivy Tech Community College, studying automotive technology. He worked at Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes, South Bend, and was a member of Etna Green Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son, Brodee Jakob Stetzel, at home; his mother and stepfather, Deborah and Cloyce Robin Spears, Etna Green; a sister, Ellie (and spouse James) Kimble, Billings, Mon; and five brothers: Adam (and spouse Kari) Stetzel, Bremen; Jared (and spouse Kim) Stetzel, Bourbon; Aaron Stetzel, Etna Green; Cory Spears, Mineral Springs, Ark.; and Dustin Spears, Bluffton; and grandparents, Fred and Lois Stetzel, Huntington. He was preceded in death by his father and two grandparents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Etna Green Church of Christ with Pastor Jordan Ickes officiating. Burial will be in Etna Green Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
