JoAnne McElfresh, 66, of Sparks, Nev., died at noon April 19, 2010, in Renown Skilled Nursing, Sparks, Nev., after suffering with Alzheimer's Disease for 10 years.
She was born Feb. 2, 1944, in Fort Wayne, to Woveland D. and Evelyn L. Alspaugh, who preceded her in death.
She worked for the Wausau County Treasurer's Office. She loved to bowl.
Surviving are her children, Daniel McElfresh and Denise Brown, both of Reno, Nev.; and Jason McElfresh, Merced, Calif.; four granddaughters, Tiffany and Courtney Brown and Brittey and Sydney Thomas, all of Reno; a great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Brown, Reno; siblings: Sue (and spouse David) Anders, Warsaw; Stan (and spouse Peggy) Alspaugh, Leesburg; Roger (and spouse Kitty) Alspaugh, Troy, Ohio; Nancy (and spouse Ron) Mason, Syracuse; Michael (and spouse Angela) Alspaugh, Warsaw; and Debra O'Connell, Warsaw; a brother-in-law, Albert Polson, Dunkirk; six nieces; and 10 nephews. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara D. Polson.
Private services will be at a later date. There will be cremation.
