MOORESVILLE – JoAnn “Polly” Welch, 86, Leesburg, died March 4, 2014, after an extended illness. She was born Jan. 19, 1928, in Marion to Frank and Naomi Dilts. She was married to Thomas Isaac Welch, who preceded her in death. She was the youngest of 12 children and the last to survive. She spent her life caring for her family, and was known by her children as a “great mom.” She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Oswego. Surviving are a daughter, Deborah (and spouse Mike) Conkle, Mooresville; two grandchildren, Edward Conkle, Mooresville, and Sarah Conkle, Indianapolis.
