NORTH WEBSTER – Joan A. Porman Hunter, 76, of Bourbon, and formerly of the North Webster area, died at 9:20 a.m. Dec. 28, 2012, in her residence. She was born Feb. 10, 1936, in Plymouth, to Chester and Irene Davis Porman. On Nov. 6, 1959, in Rochester, she married Frederick L. “Fred” Hunter, who survives. She graduated from Bourbon High School in 1955. She lived most of her life in the Bourbon and North Webster areas. She was a homemaker, a former waitress at M&M Restaurant, North Webster, and worked in several local factories. She was a member of New Vision Church, Warsaw, where she was a Sunday school teacher. Also surviving are four sons: Rocky Lane (and spouse Danette) Hunter, Warsaw; Shad Lynn (and spouse Crystal), Columbia City; Tag Leroy Hunter (and companion Carla Kelley), Leesburg; and Lofty Lee Hunter (and companion Karen Kokovay), New Paris; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, with Pastor Richard Campbell officiating. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
