SYRACUSE – Jim Thompson, 60, of Syracuse, died Oct. 26, 2012, in I.U. Goshen Hospital.
He was born Sept. 1, 1951, in Paulding, Ohio, to Carl and Dorothy Sutton Thompson. On April 15, 1978, he married Becky Reese, who survives.
He moved to Syracuse from Paulding in 1972. He served as vice president of the United Auto Workers 1405 for many years. He retired from Dana after 28 years.
Also surviving are a son, Steven (and spouse Lisa) Thompson, Syracuse; and a brother, Bob (and spouse Pat) Thompson, Syracuse. He was preceded in deth by a brother.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Burial will be in Solomon Creek Cemetery.
