The Warsaw Alpha Lambda chapter of Tri Kappa honored and celebrated Jill Warren Thallemer for 50 years of active membership, recognizing her dedicated service and commitment to the ideals of Tri Kappa.
Tri Kappa sisterhood has long been a family tradition for Jill. Her mother, Janet Elaine Warren — still active in the Warsaw Associate Chapter — first joined Tri Kappa in 1954, following the example of her aunt, Marge Kingston Warren, who became a member in 1949. It was only natural that Jill continued this legacy, joining Tri Kappa upon her high school graduation in 1974, according to a news release from Tri Kappa.
Throughout her many years of dedicated involvement, Thallemer has served in numerous roles, including president (1995–1996), vice president and secretary. She has also chaired and contributed to countless committees. Reflecting on her time in Tri Kappa, Thallemer fondly recalls co-chairing the Tri Kappa Follies with still-active member Shari Skaggs. As young mothers with four children each under the age of 10, they embraced the challenge with energy and humor, creating a truly memorable and rewarding experience, the release states.
Thallemer also cherishes memories of making Riley dolls, hosting golf tournaments and trunk shows, organizing Santa’s Village, and participating in many other projects — all in support of Tri Kappa’s mission of charity, culture and education.
She said, “I’ve made so many friends over the years and met so many interesting women through Tri Kappa. I feel truly blessed and so proud to be a part of it all.”
Thallemer is the wife of Joe Thallemer, a mother of four grown children and a grandmother to seven. She served at Lakeview Middle School and Warsaw Community High School in the counseling and guidance offices, retiring in 2019.
Thallemer’s steadfast commitment, leadership and generous spirit have made a lasting impact on the Warsaw chapter and the many lives she has touched through her kindness and service, stated the release.
Tri Kappa is a statewide philanthropic organization for women, founded in 1901, with a mission to further education, culture and charity. The Warsaw Alpha Lambda chapter, established in 1909, has been enriched by generations of outstanding women dedicated to service, sisterhood and community.
