SYRACUSE - Jessie G. Wainscott, 89, of North Webster, died Feb. 20, 2010, in Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse.
She was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Logansport, to Merle and Hazel Gaff Herron. On March 12, 1942, she married Robert Wainscott, who died Feb. 5, 2010.
She was a North Webster resident for more than 30 years, coming from Russiaville. She was a homemaker, who had a passion for sewing. She belonged to both the North Webster and Russiaville United Methodist Churches and American Legion Post 253 Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, Robert N. Wainscott, Kokomo, and William J. (and spouse Rita) Wainscott Sr., Russiaville; four grandchildren: Annette (and spouse Andy) Poffenberger; Brian Wainscott; Diane Polanco; and William J. Jr. (and spouse Kati) Wainscott; and eight great-grandchildren.
A private burial will be Thursday at Sunset Memory Gardens, Kokomo.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse, and from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Stout Funeral Home, Russiaville.
