SYRACUSE – Jesse Paul Davis, 69, of Ligonier, died at 3:10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5 at Avalon Village Healthcare in Ligonier. He was born on May 19, 1952, in Decatur, Ill., to Douglas Malcolm and Helen Louise Coleman Davis.
He graduated from Cassopolis High School in Cassopolis, Mich. He was formerly employed at Universal Forest Products in Michigan and Sanitation Services in Mishawaka for several years. He grew up in Cassopolis and lived most of his life in the South Bend/Mishawaka/Niles area before moving to Ligonier three years ago.
He is survived by three sisters: Patsy (Larry) Line, of Syracuse; Anna Simon, of Mishawaka; and Sheila (Terry Yoder) Cooke, of Goshen; brother, James (Deronda) Davis, of For Smith, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Etta Wisdom.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
