NAPPANEE - Jean Marie Wells, 48, of 708 North St., Syracuse, died at 5:30 a.m. Feb. 14, 2008, in Elkhart General Hospital, after a year-long illness.
She was born Oct. 26, 1959, in South Bend, to Charles A. and Shirley Wisler Weaver, who survive in Nappanee.
A lifetime area resident of Nappanee and Syracuse, she was a 1978 NorthWood High School graduate and formerly worked at Homecrest Corp. and Wal-Mart Super Center as a pharmacy technician. She was a member of Bourbon Bible Church, associated with First Church of God and was a lifetime member of Nappanee Conservation Club.
Also surviving are a brother, Rex (and spouse Andrea) Weaver, Nappanee; a sister, Tracy L. Pennington, Nappanee; grandparents, Charles E. Weaver and Virginia Weaver, both of Nappanee; and a companion, Rick Sheldon, Youngstown, Ohio.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Church of God, Nappanee, with the Rev. Sam Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
