NORTH WEBSTER – Janet M. Collins,
76, of North Webster, passed away at
11:36 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, at
Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw, Ind.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1943, in
Marion, Ind., to John Oris and Dora Ellen
Bliss Rogers.
She grew up in Fairmount, graduated
in 1961 from Fairmount High School and
attended Marion College. She moved to
the North Webster area in 1970 from
Marion. She formerly worked at RCA in Marion, Holiday Inn
in Warsaw as the head waitress for many years, Chi-Am
Restaurant in North Webster and South Shore Golf Course
Restaurant in Syracuse.
She formerly attended the Wesleyan Church in
Fairmount.
She is survived by two daughters, Deanna Ogburn, of
North Webster, and Christina (Barry) Perkins, of
Miamisburg, Ohio; son, Brian Collins, of Bourbon; eight
granddaughters; 17 great-grandchildren; and three brothers:
Don (Becky) Rogers, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Ron
(Aretha) Rogers, of Charlotte, N.C.; and Charlie (Sandy)
Rogers, of Brownsburg, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother,
John Rogers.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of
Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be
from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Owen Family
Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500 North, North Webster.
Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home
with Pastor Kent Butcher of the Vineyard Community
Church in Syracuse officiating.
