FORT WAYNE – James Wallace McAndrews, 82, Etna Green, passed away Feb. 18, 2014, at his residence. He was born Oct. 12, 1931. He was married to Patricia McAndrews, who survives in Etna Green. He was a Marine Corp. veteran, and he loved to fly. Also surviving are two brothers, Richard Carlye, Fairview, Utah, and Ed McAndrews, Garden City, S.C.; two sisters, Mary Vishny, Florida, and Maggie Harry, Fremont, Mich.; seven children: Jamie Blankenship, Cincinnati, Ohio; Kelly Palmer, Phalan, Calif.; Michael McAndrews, Brooksville, Fla.; Mark McAndrews, Rome City; Connie Melton, Goshen; Shawne McAndrews, Etna Green; Heather Myers-Harris, Ligonier; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Sandie Steven, Ann Dysart and Kathy Kuntsman; a son, Jeffery Bruce McAndrews; and a grandson, Jeremy Hathaway. Services will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Etna Green Church of Christ.
