James R. Ellison, 60, Warsaw, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 19, 2013, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born May 7, 1953, in Warsaw, to Robert M. and Betty L. Stevenson Ellison. On May 14, 1970, in Oswego, he married Cynthia J. Blue, his wife of 37 years, who survives. He was a lifelong resident of Warsaw, graduating from Warsaw Community High School, Class of 1971. He then attended Indiana University, Bloomington. He worked for ABC Industries, and then for many years for Dekko Heating Technologies, North Webster, working as a production manager. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He loved flying, he was a real history buff, and he enjoyed his grandchildren. Also surviving are his daughter, Melissa (and spouse Tony) Setser, Winona Lake; his son, Michael Ellison, Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrew Setser, Winona Lake; his brother, Thomas Ellison, Florence, Ore.; and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack Ellison. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Boyd Kuester officiating.
