BOURBON - James M. Music Jr., 65, of Warsaw, died at 11:56 a.m. Dec. 13, 2009, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, after a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 28, 1944, in Martin, Ky., to James Sr. and Julia Perkins Music. On May 26, 1972, he married Joyce A. Ulmer, who died Aug. 13, 2005. He later married Joy Mellott on May 23, 2009. She survives.
He was a plant supervisor at Creighton Brothers, Warsaw, and was a member of Etna Green United Methodist Church and Warsaw Moose Lodge.
Also surviving are 12 children: Dennis (and spouse Tonya) Pletcher and Ted Music, all of Etna Green; Sally Pletcher, Warsaw; Pamela Yungandreas, Bremen; Matt Music, Chicago, Ill.; Gwen Music, Phoenix, Ariz.; George (and spouse Wendy) Music, Atwood; Julia (and spouse Todd) Whetstone, Tab; Becki (and spouse George) Marks and Carmen (and spouse Don) Chapman, all of Bourbon; Angie Dickson, Syracuse; and Shelli (and spouse Ron) Sinkey, Hixson, Tenn.; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his mother, Julia Osborne, Warsaw; and four sisters: Ruby (and spouse Garnett) Newsome, Lynn (and spouse Joe) Ousley, Claudette Sybil (and spouse Phil) Gates and Wanda Lou Willard, all of Warsaw. He was preceded in death by a grandson, a sister and his stepfather.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Etna Green United Methodist Church with Joe Lampton officiating. Burial will be in Etna Green Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
