James Charles "Jim" Mikel, 44, of 658 S. Jackson St., Nappanee, died at 8:38 a.m. March 17, 2007, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
He was born Aug. 7, 1962, in Elkhart, to Richard and Dixie Blue Mikel.
He worked in construction at Fairmount Homes and graduated from NorthWood High School, Nappanee, in 1980.
Surviving are his mother, Dixie Mikel, Bremen; a sister, Peggy Hagenmeyer, Bremen; a grandmother, Vivian Blue, Nappanee; a nephew, Aaron Beck, Nappanee; and a niece, Wendi Beck, Bremen. He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Aaron Snodgrass officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
