After working at J Three Salon for 18 years, Jamie Hurt and Dana Bussard have taken over ownership of the business at 1613 E. Center St., Warsaw.
They celebrated Wednesday evening with a grand opening and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce.
“We have both worked here for a little over 18 years under the previous ownership ... so it was just kind of a good fit, I think. The previous owner was ready to go. She asked us if we wanted to take over and we kind of mulled it over for a little bit and thought we would be great for it,” Hurt said.
They officially took over July 3, but took a little time to settle in because everything happened pretty quickly, she said.
Though it was J Three Salon for about the last 20 years under Fotine Haubenreiser, Hurt said before that it was Making Waves under Kim Trammel. Bussard said there’s probably been a salon at their location for about 45 years.
Hurt said they are an Aveda Concept Salon so they use Aveda products exclusively for hair color, styling, shampoos, conditioners, etc.
“We do haircuts, color, pedicures, manicures. We just started doing a head spa - that’s like a treatment where it’s a massage for your head,” Hurt said.
Bussard added they do facials, lash extensions, massages and Swedish massages.
“Kind of a full-service salon. (We) do a little bit of everything,” Hurt stated.
She said they have 10 stylists and three or four receptionists.
They are always taking new clients, whether that’s women, men or children.
“We do everybody’s. Everybody is welcome,” Hurt stated.
Current hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays, Bussard said.

“It’s a very welcoming salon, I feel like,” Hurt said. Bussard said they’re very family oriented.
“It’s just a fun environment,” Hurt said.
