AKRON – Izinia Sue “Zanie” Thorrington, 62, of 3534 E. CR 600N, Peru, and formerly of Denver, Ind., died at 11:34 p.m. Nov. 24, 2012, in her residence. She was born March 17, 1950, in Magoffin County, Ky., to Fred and Myrtle Manns Conley. On April 29, 1975, in Mexico, Ind., she married Bruce E. Thorrington, who survives. She was a homemaker and always enjoyed the outdoors. Also surviving are three daughters: Carol Worthy, Hendersonville, N.C.; Linda (and spouse Nicolas) Bolanos, East Flat Rock, N.C.; and Crystal Bradford, Florida; 14 grandchildren: Michael and Devin Worthy, Nikiyah Trejo, Stephen, Benjamin and Chico Hernandez, Ryan Brock, Liana Heady, Aubrianna Thorrington and Matthew, Andria, Madison and Adrianna Bradford; five great-grandchildren; a son, Ashkum (and spouse Andrea) Thorrington, Denver; four sisters: Zefie and Gracie Jackson, both of Akron; Martha Hancock, North Manchester; and Lorene Tesh, Wabash; and three brothers, Amos Conley, Alabama; Norman Conley, Georgia; and Alfred Conley, Akron. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Yesenia Guerrero; three sisters, Nancy Pennington, Opal Conley and Christene Cornell; and a brother, Jerry Conley. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with Pastor Brad Eckerley officiating. Burial will be in Gaerte Cemetery, Macy.
