Editor, Times-Union: Perhaps you do not know the event. But last Thursday, May 15, was Israel’s Independence Day. In 1948 they became a nation once again. Praise the Lord, for 66 years Israel has survived in the land, even though they were surrounded by many Islamic enemies, just as the Lord has promised that they would. Isaiah prophesied 2,500 years ago in Chapter 66:18 that the nation would be revived in the end times. That promise has become true to the letter. You know, I have never experienced the feeling that you get when you see “that land” for the first time, as I did last November when I was there. The prophecies of the Old Testament scriptures have come alive to me, and I shall never be the same. Now, read Psalm 83 and realize that psalm has yet to come true. Pray for it to become a reality because it surely will. You know, the only way that you may be able to share that same excitement is to go to “the land” and see it for yourself. Take a tour of the land with a group, go and celebrate the experience. Jon Siesennop Warsaw
