INDIANAPOLIS – Irvin R. Slusher, 89, of Greenwood, died Feb. 5, 2012, in Westview Hospital.
He was born Oct. 25, 1922, in Silver Lake, to Oscar and Bertha Spencer Slusher. His wife, Wilma, preceded him in death.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a friend of Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Church.
Surviving are a son, Irvin L Jr. (and spouse Marie) Slusher, Greenwood; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Vivian Blue, Nappanee; Zelda Hienzelman, Pierceton; and Joy Kyle, Goshen. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood, with Father Vince Lampert officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
