Jeremy Bender, director, head of agribusiness lending, announced the promotion of Clayton Sheets to vice president, regional manager agribusiness lending.
In his new role, Sheets will continue managing an agricultural lending portfolio and work closely with farmers and agribusiness owners.
Since joining Interra as a commercial credit analyst in 2017 while attending college, Sheets has advanced through the organization, serving as agribusiness lender I, agribusiness lender II, assistant vice president, agribusiness lender II, vice president, agribusiness lender III and now vice president, regional manager agribusiness lending.
"I've always believed that commercial lending is about much more than numbers," said Sheets. "Our members trust us with some of the most important financial decisions they'll ever make. Being able to walk alongside them through both opportunities and challenges, while helping them achieve their dreams, is what makes this career so rewarding."
A graduate of NorthWood High School, Sheets earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Indiana University South Bend. He has completed numerous commercial and agricultural lending training programs, including Moody's Analytics' Commercial Loans to Small Business program. He was also selected to participate in Interra's inaugural Emerging Leaders Program, a year-long leadership development initiative designed to cultivate future organizational leaders.
