MARSHALL COUNTY - Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott recently announced the promotion of Trooper Aaron Price to the rank of sergeant.
Price earned this promotion through completion of written testing and a competitive interview process.
Price is a native of Etna Green and graduate of Triton Jr./Sr. High School in Bourbon.
Price is a graduate of the 76th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy that graduated in October 2016. Following academy graduation, he was assigned to the Indiana State Police Toll Road Post where he served for four years until transferring to the Bremen Post in 2020.
During his time with the State Police, Price has been a field training officer, been on the Tactical Intervention Platoon, Honor Guard and been a member of the Clandestine Lab Team that investigates methamphetamine labs. Price also serves the department as a firearms instructor, defensive tactics instructor and TacMed instructor as well as an armorer.
Price has been recognized for his efforts by receiving the Top Interdiction Officer Award for Elkhart County in 2018 and 2019. In 2019, he also received the Top OWI Award in Elkhart County and was named the Toll Road Post Trooper of the District. In 2021, he received an award for selfless service from the American Legion.
In his new role, Price will supervise and mentor troopers assigned to St. Joseph County.
Sgt. Price lives in Kosciusko County with his wife and children.
