The Indiana Department of Transportation announced the closure of Ind. 19 for pipe construction.
Starting on or after Monday, June 8, crews will be replacing a pipe on Ind. 19 between West CR 700S and West CR 900S, south of Mentone. Work on the project is expected to be complete by the end of July. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
During the closure, drivers should use the official detour of Ind. 14/25, U.S. 31, Ind. 110 and Ind. 25, or seek an alternate route.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
