NAPPANEE - Inah M. "Freddie" Frederick, 103, of Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa, died at 9:50 p.m. June 25, 2009, in Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa.

She was born Jan. 25, 1906, in Indianapolis, to Alpha and Clara Penrose Miller. On Nov. 24, 1923, she married Lowell M. Frederick, who died Jan. 2, 1987.

A lifetime area resident, she graduated from Wakarusa High School. She formerly worked at Western Rubber, Goshen, and during World War II she worked at the Ammunition Plant, Kingsbury. She formerly attended Grace United Methodist Church, New Paris, Goshen Hospital Auxiliary and for many years worked in the Maple Corner Pantry at Goshen Hospital.

Surviving are a son, Vance (and spouse Mary) Frederick, Nappanee; a sister, Verna Jacobs, Venice, Fla.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with the Rev. Jan McFall-Brown officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee.
