Editor, Times-Union:
Couldn’t have been more impressed with the amazing turnout and general presentation by Dr. Irene Miller on Tuesday evening at the Warsaw Performing Arts Center regarding her personal recollections of one of world history’s most regrettable moments – the decimation by Nazis of millions of European Jews during the 1930s and ’40s in what we in the post-World War II era have come to refer to as the Holocaust.
Although I haven’t had an opportunity yet to see the related Americans and the Holocaust traveling exhibit on display right now at the Warsaw Community Public Library thanks to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and the American Library Association, I frankly couldn’t have imagined a more extraordinary moment for all of us in attendance on Tuesday, helping to put into perspective this whole unfortunate era on what otherwise would have simply been another pleasant evening in Kosciusko County, Indiana.
My hat’s off to everyone involved.
