SYRACUSE – Eileen Kalisik, 84, of Syracuse, died Dec. 24, 2011, at her residence. She was born July 15, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., to William and Elizabeth Doering Whelan. On Feb. 7 1947, she married Steve Kalisik, who survives. She moved to the Syracuse area from Chicago in 1983 following their retirement. She was a homemaker and belonged to Grace Lutheran Church in Syracuse. Also surviving are three sons: James (and spouse Marcia) Kalisik, Woodstock, Ill.; Steve (and spouse Julie) Kalisik, Sebastian, Fla.; Rick (and spouse Theresa) Kalisik, Streamwood, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Wendy Piano officiating.
