Husky Trail should reopen no later than Wednesday, March 4, according to the city of Warsaw on Tuesday.
NIPSCO closed the bridge on Husky Trail to all traffic beginning on Monday, Feb. 16 to connect a gas main that was terminated on either side of the bridge following the recent bridge replacement project.
The bridge and roadway were expected to be closed for approximately 2.5 weeks.
After that work was completed, the road was temporarily patched with concrete. A NIPSCO contractor will return in the spring to resurface the work area after asphalt plants have reopened.
Residents were encouraged to plan additional travel time and alternate routes during the closure.
