CHICAGO – Howard Levin passed away Sept. 16, 2016, in Chicago. He was the son of the late Myer and Rosa Levin. Howard was the president of a family-owned business, Myer Levin & Sons Scrap Iron and Metal, Warsaw, for more than 60 years. He served in the U.S. Army, Secret Service, achieving the rank of captain attached to the headquarters of the 10th Army in World War II. He was past president of the Rotary Club of Warsaw, an Elk’s member and past Scout leader. He was a member of the American Legion and a 32nd degree Mason. He received a lifetime achievement award from the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of Congregation Achduth Vesholom, Fort Wayne. Left to mourn his loss are his loving wife of 68 years, Saralee Levin; children, Rhonda Kurtis, Dr. Kerry Levin and Jason Levin; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
