A homeless man is facing two felony and two misdemeanor charges after pulling a knife on a gas station employee and threatening him.
William Bozman, 32, is charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony; battery, a Class B misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor.
According to court documents, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office on July 28 responded to call regarding a male subject, identified as Bozman, with a knife.
Officers spoke to the employee of the gas station who said he approached Bozman and told Bozman he needed to leave the property. The employee offered to help move the belongings off the property. According to court records, the employee stated Bozman stood up, pulled out his knife and told the employee if he touched his stuff, he’d kill him. The employee provided a cell phone picture of Bozman holding a large knife.
An officer spoke to Bozman, who denied pulling a knife at the employee, but did say he was battered by staff at the gas station. Bozman showed officers marks on his arms that he said were injuries from the battery.
Officers recognized the marks as bug bites and not injuries sustained from a battery. The officer asked if Bozman had a knife. He pointed to a large knife that was located in the side pocket of his backpack.
Bozman was booked into Kosciusko County Jail at 6:18 p.m. July 28. His bond is $10,500.
