Whether supporting Obama's presidency or not, Tuesday was an influential day. The first African-American president was sworn in as the 44th president of The United States. Yesterday was a monumental day in history.
I would like to thank Warsaw Community High School for letting students be able to view the live inauguration of the first African-American president via televisions in the classrooms. Seeing Barrack Obama sworn in to the presidency was history in the making, something that will be told to and effect generations to come.
Watching the inauguration live on television was a far-greater lesson than that which could be taught in a text book. Therefore, I thank WCHS for giving students the opportunity to watch history in the making, and witness a great change in our homeland, The United States of America.
