Hildegard Waschkies, 86, Warsaw, passed away at 10:40 a.m. March 29, 2014, at her residence. She was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Heilbronn, Germany, to Eugene and Anna Vogel Kleesattel. In 1955, she married Horst H. Waschkies, who preceded her in death. She came to America in 1955, and then moved to Warsaw in 1957. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Warsaw First United Methodist for many years and a member of Lambda Chi Omega Chapter. Surviving are two daughters, Debra Allen, Fort Wayne, and Karen (and spouse Jim) Higgins, Whitefish Bay, Wis.; a son, John Waschkies, Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren: Zoe and Nick Higgins, Whitefish, Wis.; Quinn and Jarrad Allen, Pierceton. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McHatton- Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
