Warsaw Golf Finishes 13th

Whitko, Wawasee Compete In Blustery Goshen Relays

GOSHEN – Whitko’s boys track team finished fifth and Wawasee tied for seventh in Class B of Saturday’s Goshen Relays at chilly and blustery Foreman Field.

For the Wildcats, Gage Howard was second and Cameron Sapp third in the discus. Zack Freel was third in the high jump, and RJ Patrick was fourth in the pole vault. The Whitko sprint medley relay team of Domminick Moseley, Freel, Ashton Schuh and Clayton Ebbinghouse took second place in the class.

Isaiah Tipping won the shot put for Wawasee, and Luke Griner was second in the 1,600 run. The Warrior 4x800 relay team of Spencer Hare, Ben Haines, Thomas Conley and Michael Hammer was fourth.

Whitko will host Manchester and Northfield in a Three Rivers Conference meet Tuesday. Wawasee will host NorthWood on Tuesday. The Panthers won the Class B portion of the Goshen Relays,



Valley Gets 1 of 3 In Bremen Tourney

BREMEN – Tippecanoe Valley girls tennis won one of three matches in the Bremen Invitational Tournament Saturday.

The Vikings took a 3-2 win over North Judson. Valley fell to Wabash and the host Lions.

In the North Judson match, Hannah Parson won a tiebreaker in singles play while getting wins from doubles duos Tiphanie Hodge and Makenna Bradley and Lilly Ferguson and Grace Allender.

Hodge and Bradley also won their match against Wabash’s Haley Miller and Camile Kugler.

Today the Vikings will complete their match with Triton, then resume Three Rivers Conference play with a match at Peru Tuesday.

Warsaw Golf Finishes 13th

DEMOTTE – Warsaw freshman Cal Hoskins shot an 82, placing 11th at the Midwest Classic Invitational boys golf tournament Saturday at Sandy Pines Golf Club and hosted by Lake Central High School. The Tigers placede 11th of 13 teams in the tournament.

Warsaw will host Triton at Rozella Ford today.



Manchester Rained Out

NORTH MANCHESTER –  Both the Manchester baseball and softball teams were rained out Saturday. The baseball team was to play at Churubusco, while the softball team was to host Columbia City.

Neither game had a make-up date announced, and it’s possible neither will be rescheduled.
