High School Recaps For Dec. 4Lady Trojans Win HNAC?Opener
BOURBON – Triton pulled away late, outscoring visiting LaVille 19-4 in the fourth quarter to take a 42-23 win in the Trojans’ Hoosier North Athletic Conference girls basketball opener Wednesday night in The Trench.
Lexia Hostrawser had a game-high 12 points for Triton. Abbey Viers had eight points, Taren Yates scored seven points and Whytnie Miller six in the winning cause. Kinsey Atkins put five points on the board and Jaelyn bules rounded out the scoring with four points.
LaVille won the junior varsity contest 39-14.
Triton (4-6 overall) continues its HNAC slate Saturday, hosting Knox at 4:30 p.m.
Vikings Come Back For TRC Win
AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley rallied from an early 27-9 deficit to earn a 45-33 win over visiting Peru in a Three Rivers Conference wrestling match Wednesday.
Winners by pin were Drake Montelongo, Jacob Eherenman, Brandon Hammer, Johnny Gonsalez, Tyler Nine, and Hagaen Slusher. Joel Cisneros and Hunter Eherenman also won their matches to round out the scoring.
The team will be back in action Saturday at the Maconaquah Invite.
