Heroes & Religion

In response to Mike Stinfer's letter:
To the best of my recollection there are 1.5 billion Muslims in the world, give or take a few million. It is estimated that 1 percent of them are “radical Muslims, “extremists,” “militant Muslims,” “terrorists” or any other name for the “no quarter given, pure adherents” to the Koran. That equates to 15 million radicals hell bent on killing every Jew, Christian and all other non-followers of Mohammad.
You found two Muslims that you approved of by their deeds. So as not to be misunderstood, I would have admired them as much as you and for the same reasons. They were heroes by any measure. However, not because they were Muslim or Christian or Jewish or any other religion, but because they were who they were.
You said, and I quote, “Quite frankly, there are more Muslims that have sacrificed more for this country and God than you, I and 99.9 percent of Americans.” This sounds like numbers pulled out of Muslim propaganda. I’m not going to bother with the math but beginning with the Revolutionary War do you have any concept of how many Americans have paid the ultimate sacrifice for America?
You compared “fanatical Islamic followers” to “fanatical Christians.”
The Law of Abrogation applies to both the Koran and the Bible. That means if there is a conflict of intent in verses, the latest or most recent verse applies. Given that, the Bible consists of the Old Testament and the New Testament. Consequently, the New Testament, preaching love and salvation for all mankind supersedes conflicting intent that might exist in the the Old Testament. How many “radical” Christians do you see beheading Muslims and burning Mosques?
The Koran is but one book of the trilogy of Islam. The Hadith and Sira are two texts that constitute the Sunna, the perfect example of Mohammed. The Sira is Mohammed’s autobiography and the Hadith is a collection of short stories about Mohammed. The Koran was written in two periods, during Mohammed’s life in Mecca and then in Medina. While in Mecca for 13 years Mohammed was able to convert a mere 150 Arabs to Islam. He then moved to Medina where he became a warlord and politician killing all who refused to convert to Islam. After two years in Medina, every Jew was murdered, enslaved or exiled.
The Law of Abrogation dictates that all verses in the Koran told to Mohammed during his time in Medina supersede all the conflicting verses told to Mohammed while he was in Mecca. If you were to read the Koran in chronological order (not the order in which it is printed) you will find justification for every terrorist act being carried out against non-Muslims. What you call violent actions by uneducated, misguided thugs are, more correctly, violent actions by misguided thugs following the teachings of the Trilogy of Islam.
Islam is a fascist political system propagated by violence cloaked in religious language and enforced by Sharia Law. The religious part is for Muslims. However, fully 60 percent of the content of the Trilogy is about the treatment of Kafirs. All non-Muslims are Kafirs, despicable human beings to be converted or eliminated. This is the fascist political part of Islam.
Sharia Law is the basis for the religious, political and cultural life of all Muslims. Sharia Law violates every principle of our Constitution. Mr. Stinfer, you compare Islam favorably to Christianity. Better that you should compare it to Naziism, a totalitarian dictatorship based on anti-Semitism and a belief in the superiority of Aryan Germans.
