Heather Reichenbach will continue to lead the Warsaw School Board as she was re-elected president during an organizational meeting Tuesday.
Matt Deuel was voted to be vice president of the board, and Melissa Kissling will serve as secretary.
The board’s meeting dates and times for 2026 were approved. Generally, work sessions are the second Tuesday of every month at 4 p.m., with the regular meeting at 7 p.m. the following Monday, with some exceptions.
The last item the board voted on was a resolution approving several items.
Danielle Raber was approved to be the Warsaw Community Schools treasurer and Ruchele Sammons will be the deputy treasurer.
Stephanie Weldy was reappointed executive secretary to the school board. The copy fee for records obtained through Weldy is 10 cents per page.
The resolution names the officers and members of the Board of Finance the same as the officers and members of the school board.
Cash management services for 2026 will be provided by one or more of the following: Lake City Bank, Everwise and 1st Source Bank, all of Warsaw.
The legal counsel to serve the board will remain Warrick & Boyn LLP.
The Times-Union was designated for the year for the advertisement of legal notices to the public.
The resolution establishes the mileage rate reimbursement will be the IRS rate effective Jan. 1 of 72.5 cents per mile.
For substitute teachers directly employed by WCS, the daily rate will vary depending on the teacher’s credentials levels and number of days serving as a substitute.
In the resolution was also the approval of bond amounts for the corporation treasurer ($250,000), deputy treasurer ($150,000), high school extracurricular treasurer ($50,000) and other extracurricular treasurers ($25,000).
