Over $40,000 was raised during Heartline Pregnancy Center’s annual Gathering of Hope Banquet. The banquet was in Winona Lake and attended by over 200 people.
The money raised will go towards helping fund Heartland’s work, which includes working to empower people who are involved in unplanned pregnancies, as well as helping to combating poverty through situational or generational circumstances.
The banquet included such events as a showing of a documentary titled ‘I Lived on Parker Avenue.’ Melissa Coles, the birth mother from the documentary, also spoke afterwards about her experiences. Attendees were also updated about what the center was doing in Kosciusko County.
“Thanks to all who attended and gave, we were able to raise an amount that will significantly impact what Heartline is able to do in 2019,” says Heartland’s director of operations Alyx Bates. “We’re so grateful for the people in the community who believe in our mission.”
