November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month and the next LKH Community Health Talk Thursday at 5:30 p.m. focuses on Healthy Lungs for Life: Pulmonology Health, Diseases and Screenings. Pulmonologist Vicente Rodriguez, MD, will be the guest speaker for this talk at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital in the LKH Administration classroom, 2101 E. DuBois Drive, Warsaw.
The session will address key aspects of maintaining healthy lungs. Topics will include common lung diseases such as asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, and long COVID. Rodriguez will emphasize the significance of lung care including screenings for diagnosing and treatment. Additionally, he will discuss the effects of air quality and environmental factors, as well as simple breathing exercises that can enhance lung function and choices that support better respiratory health.
The LKH Community Health Series is held monthly at LKH in the hospital administration classroom, 2101 E. Dubois Drive in Warsaw.
