Harvey L. HostetlerHarvey L. Hostetler, 82, of Fishers, passed away July 23, 2019.
He was born March 23, 1937, in Warsaw, Ind., to the late Harvey H. Hostetler and Ruthelene A. Fifer Hostetler.
Harvey was a 1955 graduate of Warsaw Senior High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Purdue University, where he played football all four years and was a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. Harvey then received his master's degree in biological science from Indiana State University and his doctorate in dentistry from Indiana University School of Dentistry. From 1960 until 1967, Harvey was a high school teacher and coach for Rensselaer High School and Vigo County School Corporation. After graduating from Indiana University School of Dentistry, he began his internship at the I.U. School of Dentistry, eventually opening his own private practice of 37 years in Greenfield, Ind.
Harvey married Mary L. Snyder, Sept. 8, 1962, and was a member of the John Purdue Club.
Harvey is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary L. Hostetler; son, Chris Hostetler (Ivy); grandchildren, Kyle and Lily Hostetler; and brother, James Hostetler.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 27, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road, Fishers.
