Harold Keith West, 82, of Rochester, died at 9:48 a.m. April 13, 2012, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
He was born March 24, 1930, in Honey Creek, to Lawrence R. and Veva Whitworth West. On March 11, 1961, in South Bend, he married Veta Bowen, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons: Jerome (and spouse Sue) West, Traverse City, Mich.; Larry (and spouse Rhona) West, Almont, Mich.; and Gary (and spouse Laura) West, Plymouth; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Bert (and spouse Betty) West, Palacios, Texas, and George (and spouse Donna) West, Tacoma, Wash. He was preceded in death by a grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Rochester, with Pastors Buck Padilla and Rob Mace officiating. Burial will be in Mentone Cemetery with military rites by members of LeRoy Shelton American Legion 36, Veterans of Foreign Wars 1343 and the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. ***** Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
