Harold C. Metzger, 84, passed away Jan. 11, 2015, in Tavares, Fla. He was born April 30, 1930, in Springfield, Mo., to Joseph C. and Mamie Yonts Metzger. On Oct. 29, 1949, he married Pauline Brown, who survives in Eustis, Fla. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a finish carpenter for Spears Construction. Also surviving are a son, Randy (and spouse Nancy) Metzger, Tampa, Fla.; two grandchildren, Morgan E. and Garrett M. Metzger, both of Tampa; two brothers, Norman L. (and spouse Ruby) Metzger, Silver Lake, and Lyle J. (and spouse Alice) Metzger, Warsaw; and a sister, Norma Kirkwood, Warsaw. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool, with Pastor Mike Settles, Claypool United Methodist Church, officiating. Military graveside honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126, both of Warsaw. ***** Memorials to American Heart Association.
