Halli Elaine YoderHalli Elaine Yoder, 18, Fort Wayne, was surrounded by loved ones as she passed April 12, 2023, at the Cincinnati Children's Liberty Center Hospital.
She was born May 1, 2004, at the Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne, to Niki Wall, Fort Wayne, and Ryan Yoder, Fort Wayne.
Halli bravely fought a Sarcoma for over 3-1/2 years. She filled the years with school, concerts, trips including a Make A Wish trip to Hawaii.
In June 2022, Halli graduated from Blackhawk Christian High School in Fort Wayne.
Halli was talented in artwork and had been a gymnast and cheerleader. One of her passions was raising money for Children's Cancer Research. When she was told only 4% of money raised for cancer research goes for Children's Cancer, she helped with several fundraisers. Halli was in contact with other children with cancer and their parents.
Halli lives on through her mother and father; stepfather, Dave Book; grandparents: Michael (Vickie) Wall, Angola; Alice (Tim) Feasel, Fort Wayne; Daniel and Jan Yoder, Claypool; and great-grandmother, Betty Schipper, Akron; also a stepbrother, stepsister, aunts, uncle and cousins.
A private graveside service will be held, followed by a celebration of life near Halli's birthday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to St. Jude's Research for Children's Cancer.
