Hair, Cameras, Tigers

Editor, Times-Union:
Decided the “strange master” and “braintard” of Indianapolis needed to answer a couple letters recently from the prolific Times-Union letter writer.
We didn’t get into the hair business. We simply settled a dispute between the barbers and the cosmetologists. Barbers have  to have training to use straight razors and cosmetologists do not. We simply set in motion a process to resolve that dispute.
As to the body camera issue, we did not require police to use them. We just tried to issue guidelines as to who should have access and when if a department decides to use them. The writer needs to check his facts a little better.
A couple of observations: Jared Shaw has had two excellent articles. Warsaw has been blessed to have two excellent basketball coaches in the past 20 years. As Jared pointed out and many of us who know them can verify, they are both amazing math teachers that just happen to be excellent coaches. In the other article, he mentioned the Tiger basketball team coming out early to acknowledge the fans who had driven to Elkhart. That was a really classy move, which was appreciated by all.
Good luck Saturday, Tigers!
