Habitat Opens Applications For Homeownership Program

Posted

Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County is seeking applicants for its Homeownership Program.
Habitat’s Homeownership Program helps families build stability, security and a strong foundation for the future through attainable homeownership. Families gain hands-on experience and skills by contributing sweat equity, helping to construct their new homes and participating in other Habitat projects. Once approved, they purchase their new home through a 0% interest mortgage, according to a news release from Habitat for Humanity.
“Even if you aren’t sure if you qualify, we still encourage you to apply,” said Ben Logan, Habitat’s executive director. “Our programs are growing, more homes are being built, which mean we need more quality applicants that are eager for a hand up with their housing.”
Applications can be downloaded at kosciuskohabitat.org/homeownership or picked up at the Habitat ReStore, 3970 Corridor Drive, Warsaw, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. An application guide is also available online to help applicants understand qualifications and required documents. Applications and required documents can be submitted online now, but an in-person appointment must be scheduled between April 20 and April 24 at 4 p.m. in order to complete the application.
Questions about the Homeownership Program can be directed to 574-269-4104 or apply@kosciuskohabitat.org.
