ANDERSON – Gregory “Greg” D. Heberling, 59, devoted father, grandfather and friend to many, died unexpectedly Aug. 29, 2014, at the Kardatzke Wellness Center at Anderson University.
He was born Feb. 8, 1955, in Warsaw, to Dean and Ruth Brobst Heberling.
He graduated in 1973 from Warsaw Community High School. He attended Ball State University and received his master’s degree in business administration from Ball State in 1978. He was an associate professor at Anderson University in the Falls School of Business for 36 years.  He was an avid sports fan and could always be found at the gym working out or playing various sports.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Heberling, Muncie; three children: Kinsey (and spouse Jon) Jutte, McCordsville; Whitney Heberling, Columbus, Ohio; and Cole Heberling, Anderson; three grandchildren: Carson, Ella and Lila; two sisters, Janet (and spouse Doug) Ault, Warsaw, and Kelly (and spouse Jeff) Heavilon, Muncie; eight nieces and nephews: Ryan (and spouse Melanie) Ault, Warsaw; Kevin (and spouse Sherry) Ault, Noblesville; Sara, Michael and Scott Heavilon, all of Muncie; Leah (and spouse Aaron) Harrell, Florida; Brady Wood, Oklahoma; and Annie (and spouse James) Bell, Anderson; several great-nieces and nephews; and many close and special friends.
Services will be at noon Wednesday at the Park Place Church of God.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Reardon Auditorium on the Anderson University Campus.
