Green Miller, 83, of Warsaw,  passed away at 4:30 a.m. Sept. 11, 2012, in Mason Health & Rehab, Warsaw.

He was born Feb. 25, 1929, in Floyd County, Ky., to Cleve and Liddie McGuire Miller. On June 22, 1955, in Prestonsburg, Ky., he married Susie Hughes by the Rev. J.C. Wright. She passed away Sept. 20, 2003.

He attended Prestonsburg schools in Kentucky. He then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952. He was a resident of Kosciusko County, moving to the Warsaw area in 1955. He retired in 1991 from Da-Lite Screen Co. Inc., Warsaw, after working there for 27 years. For 50 years he faithfully supported and attended Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. Warsaw. He enjoyed going to and watching baseball games of his favorite team the Cincinnati Reds.

He will be lovingly remembered by a son, Ron Miller,  Warsaw; a daughter, Mary Miller, Warsaw; three grandchildren: Jason Alspaugh, Chicago, Ill.; Whitney (and spouse Joe) Swanson, Warsaw; and Melody Miller, North Manchester; two treasured great-grandchildren, Jamison Joseph and Julian Joseph Swanson,  both of Warsaw; two brothers, Joe Miller, Jacksonville, Fla., and Boyd “Peanut” Miller,  Battle Creek, Mich.; and several loved nieces and nephews. He also was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Glenn Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military rites by members of American Legion Post 49 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars 1126, both in Warsaw, and active members of the Indiana ARNG Honor Guard.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
