Great 4th of July Celebration

A parade Saturday was part of the town of Winona Lake’s Great 4th of July Celebration, with people lined up all through the town to watch it. Prizes also were handed out afterward in four categories. Cub Scout Pack 3731 received first place for judge’s choice, while Lake City Skiers took home second. For best theme, Our Hometown Hero - honoring retired Grace College men’s basketball coach Jim Kessler - took home first place, with Care Heros taking second. For most creative, Happy Birthday USA with the Lavender family took first, and Laurel Baker won second. First place for most entertaining went to Poms, while Striker Lawn Service took second.
