The Kosciusko County Fair Queen Committee announced Graycee Sands as the 2025 Miss Kosciusko County Fair Queen.
This year’s selection process focused on the scholarship-based components of the program, including a formal interview, prepared speech and submitted resume. These areas, which are the most heavily weighted in the judging criteria, reflect the leadership, communication skills, and professionalism that define the Fair Queen role, according to the Kosciusko County Community Fair’s Facebook page.
Although the traditional onstage competition was not held this year, Sands demonstrated confidence, poise and a strong ability to serve as a representative of Kosciusko County. She will act as an ambassador for the fair and will participate in both the Indiana State Fair Queen contest and the Indiana State Festival Association Pageant, stated the Facebook page.
Sands is a senior at Purdue University, majoring in nutrition, fitness and health. She hopes to build a career in medical device sales and is a former member of the Purdue Cheer Team.
She held a variety of titles over the years including Miss Preschool, Little Miss and Junior Miss Kosciusko. She also spent 10 years in 4-H showing swine, chickens and dairy calf feeder steers.
