Combined Community Services (CCS) recently received a donation of $870 from Grant Magner, who is an active member of the Lakeland Community Concert Association (LCCA).
LCCA held its final concert on Sept. 10 at the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center, featuring the Purdue Glee Club. Although the concert was free of charge, guests were encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to donate to CCS, according to a news release from CCS.
Over 1,180 pounds of food were collected, and an additional $142 was raised for the CCS.
Magner has played a role in LCCA, serving as the president and membership chairman for many years. Along with his wife, Annette, who serves as the secretary, they have worked to ensure that LCCA continues to provide concerts to the Warsaw community, stated the release.
