Grace Village Retirement Community Taking Nominations For Seniors In Need Starting Saturday

Posted
For Grace Village, caring is an integral part of the job - a part in which they intend to go above and beyond with their latest campaign, Grace Cares, according to a news release from Grace Village.

Beginning Saturday, Grace Village Retirement Community will take nominations for seniors in need, living in the Warsaw/Winona Lake area. The winners will receive a day of free home improvement/maintenance from a pool of more than 15 volunteers, including an electrician, contractors, a maintenance crew and their own Grace Village staff and administration. That’s right - it’s free parts and labor, courtesy of Grace Village, stated the release.

According to CEO Justin Kimbrell, providing such services is simply who Grace Village is.

"Our mission is to enable our residents to live to their fullest potential,” he said. “It's a privilege to be able to expand that mission to the greater community. It’s just another way to show we’re here to help, and we’re happy to do so.”

A few examples of what the Grace Village team can do include paint, yard work, install grab bars, construct a wheelchair ramp, cleaning, install shower chairs, install handheld shower faucets and install handrails.

Nominations must be submitted by July 15  in writing, to Debora Eichman, director of resident services, via email at Debora@GraceVillage.org or call 574-372-6547 for a paper copy of the nomination form.
