WINONA LAKE – The Guardians are coming back and scheduled to perform in Winona Lake once again.
Hosted By Northern Lakes Gospel Promotions, the concert will be at 6 p.m. Aug. 30 at Rodeheaver Auditorium, 901 Park Ave., Winona Lake. Doors will open at 5 p.m., according to a news release from Northern Lakes Gospel Promotions.
The Guardians are a Southern Gospel group with a string of hits like “Packin’ Up,” “Shoutin’ Sounds,” “Somebody Prays” and recent number one single “Present in the Presence of the King.” Group members Dean Hickman, John Darin Rowsey, Pat Barker, Paul Lancaster and newest addition to the group, Dale Forbes, are committed to glorifying the name of the Lord through song, according to the release. They have two Dove Award nominations and multiple Singing News #1 Songs and Fan Awards.
The No Name Quartet started as a smaller version of the men’s ensemble at their local church. They are a quartet that has risen to sing the national anthem at Banker’s Life Field House in Indianapolis, as well as recently singing alongside well-known gospel artists The Booth Brothers, The Guardians, Triumphant Quartet and Wes Hampton of the Gaither Vocal Band. Even with these performances, the No Name Quartet still regards its annual Mother’s Day concert as the one most enjoyable, stated the release.
Since 2019, Divinity has been on the road, sharing, singing and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through music. Divinity has accomplished several lifelong ambitions, with the most recent being the release of multiple songs that have charted in the top 80 on the Singing News charts, highlighted by two main stage performances at the National Quartet Convention in 2021 and 2023.
