Goshen Man Facing Sexual Assault ChargesA Goshen man is facing two charges after an alleged sexual assault.
Guillermo Gonzalez, 24, Goshen, is charged with sexual battery, a Level 6 felony; and battery, a Class A misdemeanor.
He was booked into the Kosciusko?County Jail at 8:07 a.m. July 18. He was released on his own recognizance.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Friday, on July 18, Warsaw police responded to a dispatch call regarding a possible sexual assault. Upon arrival, police met the victim who was sitting on the front porch of the residence crying.
The victim said she was visiting a friend. While there, Gonzalez allegedly pulled her into the bathroom by her wrists. Gonzalez pushed the victim against the mirror, pushed his groin area against her and tried to kiss her, according to court documents.
The victim stated she said no during the incident. Officers observed redness to the victim’s wrist, an abrasion on her chin and an abrasion on her neck, according to court documents.
During the investigation, Warsaw police spoke with Gonzalez who initially said he couldn’t remember an encounter with a woman at the residence. According to court documents, Gonzalez then said if it did happen, it was mutual. When asked if Gonzalez went into the bathroom with anyone, he said they both wanted it, it was mutual and he didn’t take advantage of anyone. When asked how far things went, Gonzalez said they just made out and she left the bathroom. Later, he said they stopped because they heard someone knocking.
